Mini Altimeter is Done, Now to Design a Case. New Alti-Logger Repository Updates.
I have successfully completed my first altimeter device and plan to deploy it as a small payload on my Corporal rocket build scheduled for September.
Key Accomplishments
- Functional altimeter with proper operation
- Cost-effective design at approximately $40, competitive with commercial alternatives
- Included schematics and operational code available for reference

Testing Plan
The flight will evaluate three critical aspects:
- Connection resilience under flight conditions
- SD card write performance
- The device's capacity to capture accurate pressure and altitude readings during the rocket's trajectory
Future Development
I am currently designing and prototyping a protective case to minimize vibration and mechanical stress on the electronics during flight. Once the enclosure is finalized, the GitHub repository will receive a comprehensive update including complete bill of materials and assembly documentation.
Long-term plans involve developing a custom PCB with integrated connections and potentially a full flight computer system.
