3D Printed Nozzle Prototype

A 3D-printed convergent nozzle with 45º/25º half-angle geometry has been successfully cast, though with minor imperfections. The alignment with the original PVC end-cap is not great, but I expect future designs to achieve within 5% accuracy of center.

The nozzle was filled using rockite quick cement mixed with water to a thick consistency. This density may have contributed to small voids observed during inspection. While these bubbles are acceptable at the amateur level and unlikely to affect performance significantly, a void-free finish would provide better aesthetics and reduce potential erosive ablation.

Testing is planned for the end of the week to evaluate motor performance and examine post-firing nozzle conditions for technique refinement. This initial prototype represents a successful demonstration despite minor flaws.
